TribalHub Announces 2nd Annual Midwest Regional Event

February 18, 2020 – TribalHub has partnered again with the Midwest Tribal Technology Council (MTTC) to bring a regional event to Minnesota in 2020. The inaugural event took  place in the Spring of 2019, and was met with overwhelmingly positive feedback. Both the planning committee and attendees in 2019 agreed that making this an annual event would be highly valuable for all.  The event welcomes technology leaders and business executives from tribal governments and enterprises in Minnesota and Wisconsin for a day and a half event focused on innovation and collaboration.

The MTTC routinely hosts quarterly meetings which bring together technology leaders from tribes in the area. Eric Olander, VP of IT at Grand Casinos, and MTTC coordinator says, “Partnering with TribalHub to bring a regional event to our area has given the MTTC a fantastic opportunity to deliver even more engaging content to our regular meeting, as well as expand our membership and network of area tribal technology leaders.” The event’s format and agenda is designed to offer learning opportunities and core topics built around what is important to the Midwestwest region. A morning roundtable led by Midwest leaders will kick off day one and set the tone for open discussions, collaboration, sharing of success stories and plenty of networking.

TribalHub Director of Operations, Shannon Bouschor indicates, “There is much that can be shared and learned that is non-competitive and beneficial, we’ve seen that over the years at other regional events and at our much larger annual conference, TribalNet. So much can be gained by having real connections, communications and relationships among peers, especially with tribes that are operating ‘just down the road’ from each other.  Attendees will leave this event with more connections, resources, knowledge and value. We are so pleased to be able to bring this event to the Midwest region in May.” Along with engaging topics that attendees can learn from and gain value from, the intended outcome of the entire event is to present the opportunity for technology leaders and technology-minded executives at tribes and tribal enterprises to uncover opportunities, collaborate and push the boundaries with innovation. Technology is the driving force behind operational efficiency, improvement and new opportunities. All leadership should consider attending this event.

The event will be held May 18-19, 2020, at the Treasure Island Resort and Casino in Welch, Minnesota. TribalHub is thrilled to be bringing this event to a tribally owned facility. We truly appreciate the support and sponsorship from the Prairie Island Indian Community.  Another regional event is planned for August 19-20 at the Little River Casino in Manistee, Michigan, which is owned by Little River Band of Ottawa Indians.
