Presenter: Brent Hutfless, IT Security Director at Wind Creek Hospitality
Presenters Bio: Brent leads the information security program for Wind Creek Hospitality, the gaming and hospitality enterprise of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. Wind Creek offers a variety of hotel, casino, dining, shopping, and entertainment venues at 10 locations throughout the US and Caribbean.
Prior to his transition into gaming and hospitality, he held technology and security leadership roles at US Navy headquarters-level commands and a top US Federal contractor. Starting out in US Navy, his 25-year career spans aviation, defense, entertainment, hospitality, healthcare, intelligence, manufacturing, military, and training fields.
Brent holds degrees in Computer Science from Troy University and Software Engineering from the University of West Florida, in addition to a Medical Informatics certificate and CISSP certification. He has contributed to post-secondary textbooks, peer-reviewed medical research, and continues to publish on community forums. Brent enjoys research and presenting topics like artificial intelligence, hacking, the dark web, identity theft, foreign espionage, and interesting subjects that educate, entertain, and promote conversations that lead to change.
Presenter: Patrick Tinklenberg, Vice President Information Technology at Sycuan Casino Resort
Presenters Bio: Patrick Tinklenberg is the Vice President of Information Technology with Sycuan Casino where, for the last 8 years, he has been responsible for technology and strategy for the casino, hotel, and golf resort. Previously to this position, Patrick was the IT Director for the Barona Band of Mission Indians for 7 years where he ran the IT operations at all tribal government service facilities, government-supported enterprises, and the Barona Gaming Commission. A veteran of the IT industry for over 25 years, he has worked with companies in Hospitality, Transportation, Medicine, Real Estate, Government, Manufacturing, and Retail to align business objectives with technology.
Since joining the Tribal IT industry in 2005 he has facilitated projects across all areas of government and casino operations. As a gaming operations executive, he has been instrumental in the implementation of innovative loyalty programs, digital content management systems, CRM, and a number of strategic infrastructure initiatives. Highlights of government initiatives include: reservation-wide wireless broadband, GIS mapping, electronic document management, implementation of citizen service platforms, and unified communications.
Presenter: Gene Chayevsky, CEO at BIG Cyber
Presenters Bio: As President and CFO, Chayevsky is a key executive partner to BMM’s CEO in areas of business management, finance, and strategy. In addition, Chayevsky is responsible for BMM’s corporate development, including serving as CEO for BMM’s cybersecurity business, BIG Cyber. Prior to his current role, Gene served as BMM’s Executive Vice President for Europe and South America. As a world-class C-suite executive, Gene has over 29 years of private equity, executive management, entrepreneurial and investment banking experience in both the US and international markets, with 16 years experience in the gaming industry.
Before joining BMM, Chayevsky managed his own investment firm, KLW Capital, focused on private company investments in technology, gaming, and entertainment. Prior to forming KLW, Chayevsky served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cadillac Jack (currently part of PlayAGS, Inc.). Earlier in his career, Gene was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and West Merchant.
Chayevsky graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Economics from Columbia University and also attended the University of Cambridge. Gene is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (2018).
